Recycling in Rother

Read about the new RECYCLING scheme here:

Nb: Remember; no cardboard in the paper bin!

Cardboard is collected for recycling in the Budgens, Rye car park on Thursdays from 5 to 6 pm.
Glass
There is a permanent glass recycling unit on Sea Road, opposite Morlais Place.

Please do not use between 11 pm and 7 am and insert glass gently to reduce noise.

The only metal things that can be recycled are food and drinks cans.

No material collected that has been separated for recycling (providing that all is correct) will end up in landfill. Apart from anything else, this is illegal. If waste is being loaded onto a pick up in bulk loads, then it will be sorted by hand at the depot or MRF.

Why not buy a charger that will recharge ordinary batteries? --->

Rother District Council Mobile Recycling Unit Schedule 2006-7

The unit is normally situated in the car park behind the Co-op for one week every six weeks.
However, at present it is not possible to get any information about whether this service will continue.
